This is the part most buyers will not say out loud: we consider bikes in any condition, including crashed. Laid it down in a corner and tweaked the forks. Dropped it in the driveway. Wrecked it hard enough that the insurance company got involved. Send the photos anyway. We run a crash-repair bench in this building, so we know what a damaged bike is actually worth to somebody who can fix it — which is a very different number from what a general buyer guesses over the phone.

The same goes for a bike that does not run. Non-op registration, dead battery, gummed-up carbs, will not start, sat under a cover in the garage for five or ten years, a project you started and never finished, a barn find you inherited and do not want.
