Every Motul 5100 bottle in this list states semi-synthetic on the product itself. Where a bottle does not state its base stock we leave the field blank rather than assume one.
Priced by weight: 10W-30 from $20.71 (2 sizes), 10W-40 from $20.09 for the 1 qt (2 sizes), 10W-50 from $20.09 for the 1 L (2 sizes), 15W-50 from $20.09 (2 sizes) and 20W-50 from $20.09 for the 1 L. 10W-40 is the cheapest way into the line and 10W-30 the dearest, a $0.62 difference — which is not a reason to pick one, since the manual decides that.
Per litre the spread inside this line is real: the 4 L in 10W-50 works out to $18.68 a litre, against $21.23 for the 1 qt in 10W-40. If your engine takes more than a couple of litres, the larger bottle is the cheaper way to buy the same oil.
