MITAS Motorcycle Tires
Czech-engineered. Rally-proven. Built for riders who actually ride.
Mitas is one of the most comprehensive tire brands in the world when it comes to dirt, enduro, and off-road applications — and MTC stocks 46 families to prove it. From hardcore motocross and rally-raid rubber to sport and touring options, Mitas covers more riding disciplines under one roof than almost any brand we carry.
What sets Mitas apart is their obsession with compound and casing engineering across real-world conditions. The Terra Force and Enduro Trail lines aren't rebranded generics — they're developed with input from Dakar competitors and enduro racers. Riders who've slept on Mitas because of brand unfamiliarity are consistently surprised. We stock them at below-MSRP pricing and can mount them while you wait.
Heritage
Mitas traces its roots to 1933 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, where it began producing rubber and tire products. After decades of industrial and agricultural tire manufacturing, the brand evolved aggressively into powersports — eventually becoming the dominant force in European off-road motorcycle tire competition. Their Dakar Rally involvement isn't a marketing stunt; Mitas rubber has survived some of the most punishing terrain on earth, and that racing DNA flows directly into their production tire lineup.
MTC’s Take
Mitas sits in an interesting spot: genuinely performance-capable tires priced below the Michelin and Pirelli tier, but without the budget-brand compromises you'd expect. For off-road and enduro riders specifically, Mitas competes directly — and often favorably — against Dunlop and Maxxis. The Terra Force-EF Pro Super Soft earns our highest rating in the lineup at 8.7 for good reason: the compound is legitimate race-level material. The broader Terra Force and Enduro Trail families score in the 8.1–8.2 range, reflecting real-world performance that punches above their price point. Sport and touring offerings are solid commuter-to-canyon options but aren't chasing Michelin Pilot Road territory. If you're an enduro rider, adventure racer, or MX enthusiast who wants proven rubber without overpaying, Mitas is the smartest pick on our wall.

Are Mitas tires actually competitive with Dunlop or Michelin off-road?
For enduro and motocross applications, absolutely. The Terra Force and Enduro Trail lines were developed with Dakar and enduro racing input, and the compounds hold up in real competition. They're not a budget substitute — they're a legitimate alternative, usually priced lower than the Dunlop or Michelin equivalent.
What's the difference between the Super, Super Light, and Super Soft compound variants?
Mitas uses compound suffixes to indicate hardness and weight: Super Soft gives maximum grip in low-traction conditions but wears faster, Super Light prioritizes reduced unsprung weight for suspension sensitivity, and Super (standard) balances durability with all-around performance. Which one's right for you depends on your terrain, bike weight, and how hard you ride — come in and we'll sort it out.
Does MTC carry Mitas tires for adventure bikes, or mostly MX?
Both. The Enduro Trail ADV 2, Enduro Trail Dakar, and Touring Force families cover adventure and dual-sport use, while the Terra Force-MX and Terra Force-EX lines target motocross and hard enduro. With 46 Mitas families in stock, we have more options than most dealers in Southern California.
Can I walk in and get Mitas tires mounted same day?
Yes — MTC is a walk-in shop. If we have your size in stock, we can mount and balance on the spot. Call us at (714) 516-9059 to confirm availability before you make the trip, especially for the more specialized compound variants.
Are Mitas tires good for Dakar-style rally or just trail riding?
The Enduro Trail-Rally and Terra Force-R lines are engineered specifically for rally-raid conditions — long-distance desert, rock, and mixed terrain at speed. These aren't trail tires with a rally badge slapped on; the casing construction and compound profiles reflect what that kind of abuse actually demands.
